Free Turkey to 125 needy families

In a social outreach initiative, St. Martin of Tours offers free turkey and groceries for the 125 needy families to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Apart from distributing freebies, St Martins of Tours joins  Mary Mitchell  Centre in the Bronx to educate the receivers to towards a better health maintenance and how to procure to a health insurance. 
In the spirit of St. Martin of Tours, parishioners continue to keep alive a decade old annual free turkey distribution during Thanksgiving. 
Mr. Victor Moreno,  a major donor, gave 66 turkeys, the parish Black Catholic Committee and Guadalupe Committee along with Bari Funeral Home offered 10 turkeys each, Altagracia Committee and Providencia gave five turkeys each. St Aquinas School along with others parishioners donated groceries. Some parishioners provided monetary support.
